READ/San Diego's 25th Annual Tutor Conference

READ/San Diego will be hosting it's 25th Annual Tutor Conference on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the University of San Diego, Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. The conference will feature an impressive lineup of presenters, including this year's keynote speaker, Dr. Howard Liebman, the founder of Smart Horizons Career Online Education.

Join literacy tutors, teachers and literacy professionals for a day of informative, enjoyable, hands-on workshops. The conference features twenty-four workshops that focus on strategies for teaching vocabulary, grammar, word recognition, online resources and technical tools for tutors, phonics, reading comprehension, math, ESL, and GED preparation.

Twenty-four works...hops are scheduled in four strands, with breaks midway through the strands. A catered luncheon will be served between the strands and will feature keynote speaker Dr. Howard Liebman's presentation "Better Understanding and Addressing Educational Trauma to Re-Engage Students Back into the Educational System."

The early registration rate of $35 ends June 8, 2015 at 5 p.m. Registrations received after 5 p.m. will be charged at the $45 rate.
